• to know the principles of plant raw material application in folk, traditional medicine and cosmetology
• to know the basic question related to morphological structure of medicinal plants and their biologically active substances
• to know the time of medicinal plants collection
• to have skills concerning medicinal plants, harvesting in compliance with environmental measures
• to have skills selecting for herbs and their compositions for certain diseases the treatment
• to have skills concerning composition and production of appropriate dosage forms based on plant raw material.

Prerequisites: Latin Language, Medical Botany, Pharmacognosy, Natural Raw Materials Preparation Technology

General information about the active ingredients of medicinal plants. Plants and their compositions used in dermatology and cosmetology. Plants and their compositions used for the prevention and treatment of diseases of the oral cavity, upper and lower respiratory tract. Plants and their compositions used for treatment of the gastrointestinal disorders, liver, biliary tract and urogenital system diseases. Nervous and cardiovascular systems disorders. Pediatric diseases.
