Learning outcomes:
A student will have knowledge of:
• regulatory support and organization of work safety and civil protection in the enterprise;
• measures and means of improvement of the working environment, electrical safety, fire prevention systems for industrial facilities;
• methods of predicting the negative consequences of natural and man-made emergencies.

A student will able to:
• evaluate and monitor work compliance with the conditions set by laws and regulations;
• develop technical solutions for improving the working environment and electrical safety;
• identify factors of fire danger;
• determine the composition of forces, means and resources to overcome the effects of emergency situations.
Required prior and related subjects:
Prerequisites: Fundamentals of Labour Safety, Life safety
Summary of the subject:
Labour safety management system, its components, tasks and functions. Sanitation requirements for the parameters of working environment with computers. Main activities and means of improvement of the working environment rooms with computers. Basic requirements to the facilities, the location of desks with computers and to the work and relaxation modes when working with computers. Situations in which the human body gets electric shock. Human protection from touching electrical equipment that carries current. The main ways of human protection during sudden appearance of voltage on the metal parts of electrical installations that do not carry current. Electrical safety of hardware. Fire prevention of electrical equipment. The state policy in the field of civil protection in emergency situations. Emergencies and their prevention, protection of population and territories in emergency situations.
