Learning outcomes:
Be able to use knowledge of mathematics to implement software computational nature;
• master the basic features of numerical methods, conditions of use and possibilities of adaptation to specific engineering problems;
• Gain the ability to select and categorize tasks by numerical methods of solution;
• Master the principles of decomposition and allocation of tasks subtasks, solutions can be found by means of numerical methods;
• Be able to program an algorithm to implement its optimization and evaluate the accuracy of the results obtained;
• Have skills in solving computational problems using mathematical packages (Mathlab, MathCad, Maple, Mathematica).

Summary of the subject:
Mathematical modeling and computational experiment. Elements of the theory of errors. Solving nonlinear equations. Direct methods for solving systems of linear algebraic equations. Iterative methods for solving systems of linear algebraic equations. Solving systems of nonlinear equations. Interpolation functions. Approximation functions. Numerical differentiation. Numerical integration. Numerical methods for solving the Cauchy problem for ordinary differential equations. Numerical solution for ordinary differential equations.
