Learning outcomes:
The course work provides:
- consolidation and deepening of knowledge gained by students in the study of discipline “ Introduction to the profession "Economics ”;
- development of creative approach to the practical application of acquired knowledge and solve practical problems;
- attract students to work independently with professional literature;
- the skills necessary scientific research sources and materials in the study;
- develop skills in the use of modern information tools and technologies;
- enabling of students' experiences clearly, consistently and competently teach in the text of theoretical principles;
- developing the ability to analyze, summarize and draw conclusions.

Writing a term paper greatly contribute to better assimilation of theoretical knowledge and practical analysis of the course “ Introduction to the profession "Economics ”.

Learning outcomes:
Students are expected to acquire following knowledges:
- basic information about university, department, educational and scientific institute; rules of internal organization of the university; the main traditions of the university, the department, the educational-scientific institute and the content of the most important elements of their corporate culture;
- structure of the specialty curriculum; structure and organization of the educational process; structural and logical scheme of training specialists in the specialty; educational-professional program and educational-qualification characteristics; production functions and typical tasks of activity;
- essence of national economy, enterprise economy, labor economy and its importance;
- essence, types, organizational forms and features of activity of enterprises and integrated structures;
- directions of activity of the enterprises;
- the essence of the enterprise as a production system and its organizational structure;
- the essence of the enterprise collective as a social group;
- the essence of the personnel of the enterprise;
- social and psychological features of the personnel of the enterprise as an object of management.


Students are expected to acquire following skills:
- to form their own views on studying at the university; to promote the achievements of the university and its corporate culture;
- use the state and industry standards of Ukraine in the field of education;
- summarize information and formulate approaches to solving problems by activity functions;
- to search, collect, organize and accumulate the necessary legal, social, economic, scientific-methodological, reference and other information necessary for training in the specialty;

Summary of the subject:
The course "Introduction to the specialty" Economics "belongs to the list of required educational disciplines by educational level" bachelor ". The discipline is aimed at forming students' theoretical knowledge of the essence and content of the specialty "Economics", the system of organizing the educational process at the National University "Lviv Polytechnic" and requirements for specialists. The purpose of studying the discipline is to acquaint students with the educational institution, its history and traditions, structure and features of the department, educational-scientific institute, formation of the initial idea of the profession of economist.
