Learning outcomes:
• Become familiar with the achievements of world rhetoric;
• Know the main stages of the formation and development of rhetoric in Ukraine;
• Learn the basic aspects of cultural psychology and speech communication;
• Be able to analyze the features of various forms of speech in the system of professional communication;
• Know and practically apply the differences between various types of speeches;
• Understand the practical principles of oral preparation for public speaking;
• Develop the skills to deliver speeches;
• Gain skills in organising meetings and presentations.
Required prior and related subjects:
• Prerequisite: Ukrainian language (for professional purposes)
Summary of the subject:
Form a rhetorical competence for the future profession to teach rational speech behavior in various situations of communication through the comprehensive study of the beauty, energy and reasonableness of human speech; the relationship between the properties of words with feelings, will and mind of man, study all possible manifestations of words, beautiful and ugly; necessary and unnecessary, wise and foolish; and knowledge of the most effective ways to gain the commitment of people through speech
