Learning outcomes:
• know the specific sociological analysis of the age structure of society;
• be able to researchcontemporary social, legal and socio-economic problems of Ukrainian society associated with age stratification;
• be able to organize a case study in the subject field of the sociology of age;
• have an understanding and focus in key areas of research methods and agein sociology.

• Sociology of personality.
Summary of the subject:
The concept of age in science. Social age. Age stratification. The age and developmental status role. The age inequality. Generation as a socio-historical phenomen. Sociology of childhood. Methods and procedures of sociological studies of children and teenagers. Youth as an object of sociological research. Sociological concept of adulthood. The social phenomen of ageism. State social policy for the elderly.
