Learning outcomes:
• know the subject and objectives of ethnic psychology; methods of ethnic psychology; basic concepts of ethnic psychology; basic static characteristics of the ethnic group; basic dynamic characteristics of ethnicity, nationality, ethnic stereotypes (autostereotype, heterostereotype), ethnic attitudes; types of ethnic conflicts and stage of their development; ethnic conflicts; ethnopsychological features of business communication;
• be able to use a variety of techniques to study the psychological characteristics of the ethnic group; provide advice on the application of certain behavioral strategies to overcome ethnic conflict; advise on peculiarities of business communication with foreign partners.

Summary of the subject:
Ethnopsychology in the system of scientific knowledge. Ethnicity and nation. Formation and development of world ethnic psychology. Ukrainian ethnic psychology as an independent science. Culture as a differentiating factor of nation creation process. Ethnic and national consciousness and identity. The development and transformation of ethnic identity. Tolerance as a basis for relations in multiethnic world. Ethnic installation. Ethno-psychological features of Ukrainian people as an area of inter-ethnic ethnically expression of psychological characteristics. Certain types of ethnic interaction. Ethnic stereotypes and stereotyping. Properties of ethnic stereotypes. Ethnic conflicts. Adapting to the cultural environment.
