The results of studying:
In the result of studying the student must:
– to know the current environmental situation in Ukraine and the world and the dynamics of their change;
– know the main sources of environmental pollution;
– to know the modern technologies and methods of environment protection which are used to protect all components of the biosphere from material (gas, liquid, solid) and energy pollution;
– to know the theoretical bases of the organization of emissions cleaning industrial enterprises and control of industrial emissions;
– to know the principles building of the environmental safety schemes of the production;
– to know technologies of renewable and non-traditional energy sources and prospects of their application, particular in Ukraine;
– be able to plan and organize the technological process, taking into account the methods of environmental protection;
– be able to control the assessment of the impact of harmful productions on the environment;
– be able to create environmentally friendly technologies.
Required prior and related subjects:
– prerequisites: chemistry, technical thermodynamics, heat and mass exchanger.
– co-requisites: basics of reconstruction and modernization of thermal power facilities, adjustment of thermal power facilities, corrosion protection and conservation of thermal power plant equipment.
Summary of the subject:
The technogenic and ecological characteristics of thermal power plants. The protection of atmospheric air from industrial dust emissions. The protection of the atmospheric air from industrial emissions of vapor and gaseous substances. The protection of water resources from industrial emissions. The protection of land resources from solid waste pollution. The protection of the environment from energy pollution.
