Learning outcomes:
As a result of module studying a student has to:
• know the the basic principles of communication protocols
• to know the ways of connection management at protocolary level at the use of interexchange, subscriber protocols and higher-level protocols
• be able to use the acquired knowledges for development and exploitation of soft hardware to interact of infocommunication facilities with LAN
Required prior and related subjects:
Terminal devices of subscriber access
Programming of hardware of information technology
Summary of the subject:
Communication protocols. Terms. Types of protocols: transmission of voice messages and connection management; interexchange and subscriber protocols. CAS-protocols and all-channel signaling system. Linear and registers signals. The main signals condition. Setting the initial connection. Connection mode. Voice transmission, videoconference Н.323. TCP/IP protocols. Data link layer of TCP/IP stack. Ethernet, logical link control protocol. Sygnals hierarchy of SONET/SDN.
