Simulator of traffic rules, digital model railway control systems, 3D-printer – such inventions are created during the study by students of Khmelnytskyi Polytechnic College, Lviv Polytechnic National University. According to Vadym Ovcharuk, College Director, the invention is presented by student as a diploma work at the final exams.
Vadym Mostovyi, a third-year student at the Computer Engineering Department, developed a 3D printer. This device creates complex moving mechanisms without any additional adjunction. Vadym says that students can create the desired object on a computer.
Digital model railway control systems was created by students of the Computer Engineering Department. Dmytro Dmytryshyn, a fourth-year student, says «This stand was created due to the efforts of students so that junior students could study the peculiarities of working with microcontrollers and digital remote control. The stand supports control by computers and other modern equipment».
Bohdan Khmelnytskyi is a college graduate who now works as a lecturer at the Motor Vehicle Transport Department. Traffic rules simulator is his personal development. Bohdan notes that analogues of such a device in Ukraine cost from 200 thousand hryvnias. He managed to spend on development only 16 thousand.
Vadym Ovcharuk, Director of Khmelnytskyi Polytechnic College, says that students create their own developments, presenting them as diploma projects: «Every entrant and his parents are interested in the results of their work. This is exactly what became the motivation for our students who while making diploma projects create, first of all, something that comes in handy in our life».
According to Director, inventions of Khmelnytsky Polytechnic students are exhibited at exhibitions for entrants.
