University representative wins gold at Winter World Masters Games

Oksana Zalisko, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physical Education at Lviv Polytechnic National University, won gold at the World Masters Games in Innsbruck, the capital city of Tyrol in western Austria.

On January 12, in her age category the athlete came first, 35 minutes ahead of the Russian, at the distance of 30 kilometers in cross-country skiing. In total, in January this year about 3,000 athletes from all over the world came to Tyrol to compete in twelve Olympic disciplines.

Let us remind that last year Oksana Zalisko won the FIS Cross-Country World Cup. And in 2017, Oksana Zalisko, as part of the Ukrainian national team, received the third place in the 15 km classic style race at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships.
