The aim of this course is getting knowledge about the system of environmental monitoring by students as part of the structure of environmental management and environmental protection. Students should understand that monitoring system as a unity composed of interdependent parts, each of which brings something specific in the overall approach, preparation of ecological significant decisions of local governments and regional authorities of environmental activities at the national level. The nature of the relationships with the external environment is environmental monitoring open system according to the requirements of the Aarhus Convention "On Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-making and Access to Justice in matters that affect the environment."
