• construction and utilisation characteristics of buildings, structures, engineering networks of public utilities;
• work of constructions, forces in its certain elements caused by the action of existing loadings;
• methods of element, unit and construction diagnostics;
• influence of defects and damages on bearing ability of particular construction elements or a building at large;
• structure of administrative objects in cities, methods of process management;
• principles, main rules of buildings selection for repair works or reconstruction; emergency repairs of buildings or their certain constructions;
• main methods of mounting, repairing and reconstruction of particular buildings, constructions and structures of public utilities. • knowledge of the state language and at least one foreign language on the level of professional and everyday use;

Gained competence: • assessment of technical state of buildings, constructions and engineering communications of public utilities;
• planning and organisation of works aimed at utilisation, current repair works and reconstruction of residential and administrative buildings, communication systems, roads, adjacent areas;
• planning and organisation of major repair works of buildings and structures of public utilities, provision of their funding;
• membership in committees of acceptance for utilisation of buildings and structures upon completion of construction or major repair works;
• supervision of construction work of buildings, structures and engineering systems;
• quality control of constructions, products and materials supplied to the building site;
• carrying out on-site technical examination of buildings;
• production activity analysis of departments of an organisation, company, firm.
