Characteristics of the educational program:
The educational and scientific program is based on the fundamental tenets of ecology and the results of modern scientific research. It is aimed at the development of theoretical and methodological and methodological and applied base of ecology with accentuation of the latest tendencies of development of ecology, which deepens the professional scientific outlook and provides a basis for carrying out scientific researches and further professional and scientific activity.
Gained competence:
• Possess conceptual and methodological knowledge in the field of natural sciences and be able to apply them to professional activity at the border of subject areas.
• Ability to communicate with colleagues, the broad academic community and the public, both nationally and internationally, to undertake an innovative project or solve a scientific problem.
• Ability to organize pedagogical work on the basis of a personally oriented approach, to form the content of education, relying on the variability, flexibility of forms and methods of education, diagnosis and develop the creative abilities of the individual.
• Demonstrate scientific perspectives in assessing the impact on living systems and biological diversity of biotic and abiotic factors of local and global origin.
• Ability to process monitoring results, research and analysis of dependencies, build forecasts.
• Ability to integrate existing research methods and methods in the field of solid waste management and production.
• Know the procedure for environmental control, audit and certification of natural and man-made objects.
• Ability to independently perform experimental research and apply research skills, as well as to make decisions and develop a strategy for solving applied scientific problems, taking into account human values, public, state and industrial interests.
• Ability to select and use ready-made software (mathematical software packages) for analytical, graphical, numerical solution of mathematical problems, which are models of phenomena and processes in complex dynamic ecological and environmental systems.
• Combine theory and practice as well as make decisions and develop a strategy for substantiating and commercializing research findings, taking into account human values, public, state and production interests.
• Ability to creatively and reasonably prepare teaching materials, organize organizational and pedagogical and logical structure of lectures, laboratory and practical tasks.
• Distinguish between the characteristics of different forms of academic communication, organize and conduct discussions, speak to the audience, in accordance with the laws of rhetoric.
• Be able to develop an algorithm for solving a scientific-applied problem and to initiate an original research and innovation technological project that has scientific novelty, theoretical and practical value and helps to solve significant scientific or security problems.
• Ability to describe patterns of flow, distribution and migration of man-made pollutants in specific ecosystems.
• Ability to develop measures to mitigate the adverse impact of a planned facility on the environment and public health, which should be taken into account when assessing the impact.
• Ability to use legislation in the field of environmental control and audit that regulates environmental policy at international, interstate, state and regional levels.
Сommunicative skills at the level of free communication in a foreign language environment with specialists and non-specialists on the problems of ecology, environmental protection and balanced use of nature.
Describe the results of scientific research in professional publications in domestic and foreign specialized publications, including those included in Scopus science database or similar databases.
