– implement management of industries in conditions of market economy;
– exploit equipment of modern pharmaceutical production;
– correspond to the demands of the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine, industry standards concerning production, control and use of the final product;
– provide compliance with rules and regulations of occupational safety, industrial hygiene, fire protection;
– organize and carry out scientific research;
– to summarize the obtained data from laboratory studies and measurements, to evaluate them from the point of view of their significance and to correlate them with the corresponding theory;
– to use modern information and communication technologies for searching, analysis, calculations and creation of the graphic and text documents, as well as for mathematical analysis and static processing in the research and design;
– to present the results of various types of work (research, search, design etc.) in Ukrainian and foreign languages. – ability to use theoretical knowledge and practical skills in choosing optimal methods for obtaining pharmaceutical products of appropriate quality;
– ability to use professional and specialized knowledge and practical skills to solve specific problems of chemical and pharmaceutical technologies;
– ability to use a systematic approach for developing technologies of pharmaceutical industries of medicinal substances in different medicinal forms;
– ability to develop technologies of preparations from natural raw materials, veterinary and medicinal cosmetic products;
– ability to choose the way of further improvement of their skills.

Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning: Nostrification is required if previous level have been received in another country. Nostrification is conducted in Lviv Polytechnic. Mechanisms of recognition of non-formal education and informal are absent.
Qualification requirements and regulations, including graduation requirements: The full execution of the curriculum and defense of Master's Thesis in the form of the diploma thesis (DT) or diploma project (DP)
Characteristics of the educational program:
Gained competence: Training involves theoretical, practical and research training; the gathering and processing of materials on the topic of master's studies; preparation of scientific article to professional journal; writing of scientific reports, theses, reports, course works; summarizing the results of own research.
The student must complete a training program of 90 ECTS credits, including:
- Training courses - 57 ECTS credits;
- Course works / projects - 3 ECTS credits;
- Practice - 9 ECTS credits;
- Execution and defense of qualifying work - 21 ECTS credits.
Masters are training for organizational management, investment and research activities, for the prepare for teaching and scientific reserve of higher education institutions, research institutions in the field of pharmacy and pharmaceutical technology.

– design of production and ancillary facilities of chemical and pharmaceutical industries in the system of good manufacturing practices, principles of layout of technological equipment;
– modern advances in the innovation technologies of the field.

Academic mobility: None, but mobility is encouraged and recognized in accordance with procedures of ECTS
Work placement(s): 9 credits (research practice based on the Theme of Master's Thesis). During practice students apply knowledge about synthesis of biologically active compounds, methods for their identification, computer softwares for diagnostics of biological activity for further practical application as potential drugs.
