Economics of environment and natural resources

Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning: If a prior qualification level has been gained in another country, it requires recognition (nostrification), which is conducted by Lviv Polytechnic National University. No mechanisms have been developed for the recognition of the learning outcomes gained through non-formal and informal learning.

Characteristics of the educational program:
Gained competence: Masters of Economics acquire profound theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in economics, master the general methodological principles of scientific and professional activities, gain other competences necessary for the constructive solution of complex problems and effective fulfillment of innovative tasks concerning professional activities in the conditions of uncertainty . The educational and professional programme of Masters specialized in Economics of Environment and Natural Resources in particular is based on the fundamental postulates of economic theory and its application to the sphere of environmental management and environmental protection. Masters in Economics of Environment and Natural Resources will gain knowledge necessary to design and implement economic mechanisms intended for providing a sustainable use of natural resources, forecasting and planning of the process. Besides, this specialization area involves marketing technologies of environmental protection, and tools of state regulation of natural resources and environmental activities. The total volume of the educational programme - 90 ECTS credits, the modules of professionally-oriented humanitarian and socio-economic training - 6 ECTS credits, and modules of professional and practical training - 84 ECTS credits.
