Understanding the basic models of social protection, preconditions and factors of social policy; instruments and documentary base of social policy; institutions involved in the development and implementation of social policy; sources and methods of funding the social policy; peculiarities of social policy and social protection in the state-members of the EU.
Knowledge of basic concepts and theories of social policy; issues, categories and concepts of the social policy in the state-members of the EU; quantitative indicators of social development: Human Development Index, The indicator of actual progress; main types of social policy and factors influencing their emergence; social policy of the largest supranational organizations and channels of their impact on social policy of the social standards the state-members of the EU;
Understanding the impact of international organizations on social policy in the state-members of the EU;
Understanding the concept of poverty and ways to overcome it; peculiarities of labor market and employment, ways to eliminate unemployment; strategic directions and stages of development a social policy in the state-members of the EU .
Ability to determine basic concepts and theories of social policy analysis; apply categories and concepts of discipline, quantitative social development of the Human Development Index, The indicator of actual progress; determine the type of social policy and factors influencing their emergence; analyzing social policies of various types and supranational organizations; identifying major channels of influence of external actors on domestic social policy, including the state-members of the EU; define the principles and mechanisms of implementation of social standards the state-members of the EU.
