Learning outcomes:
• to demonstrate knowledge of basic notions and concepts relating to international relations, social communications and regional studies;
• to demonstrate knowledge of modern state, consistent patterns and main trends of international relations development on regional and global levels;
• to demonstrate knowledge of the concept of international law as special legal system, features of which are reflected in its sources, list of subjects and character of responsibility;
• to demonstrate knowledge of fundamental principles of international law, in which rights and obligations of states in mutual relations are embodied;
• to demonstrate knwoledge of the influence of international law on state policy and interstate relations under the circumstances of globalization;
• to demonstrate the ability to ground and explain relevant processes in the sphere of international relations and foreign policy;
• to demonstrate the ability to reveal general trends of international relations with the usage of information technologies and predict the development of events on the international arena;
• to demonstrate the ability to conduct methodologically correct researches of facts and processes on the international arena integrating knowledge from different spheres of the society;
• to demonstrate the ability to analyze whether or not acts of the subjects of international law are internationally rightful.

Summary of the subject:
The law of treaties. International organizations. Territory in international law. The law of foreign relations. The law of the sea. International airspace and outer space law. International human rights law. Human rights and international law. International legal aspects of the citizenship. International economic law. The law of international security. International humanitarian law. International cooperation in the fight against crime.
