Learning outcomes:
• knowledge of the requirements for a modern information-controling systems of protection and automation, operation principles, characteristics and features of the main primary converters of information and executive tools;
• knowledge of the basic algorithms for operation systems of protection and automation;
• ability to apply modern methods of analysis and synthesis of information-controling systems of protection and automatics, analyze known algorithms and develop new operation, calculate their basic parameters to analyze their behavior in normal and emergency operation of electric power facilities.

• Computer-Aided Design of Devices for Relay Protection and Automation;
• Information Technologies for Electricity Production and Distribution Management.
Summary of the subject:
Modern specialized digital systems for the computer analysis and synthesis of information-control systems of protection and automation. Simulation as one of the main means of analysis and synthesis. Basic requirements for the design and analysis of information-control systems of protection and automation. Methods of forming and solving the state equations describing the behavior of systems of protection and automation, mathematical models and basic elements forming the basis for settlement schemes and algorithms for operation in a specialized software. Analysis of existing and development of new information-control systems of protection and automation.
