Learning outcomes:
1. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the components (desktop personal computer (PC), PC system unit, motherboard, keyboard) and the appointment of external PC peripherals.
2. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding: operating system (OS) based on MS WINDOWS, as well as basic input/output system (BIOS); MS WINDOWS application applications, in particular for working with text (MS WORD) and tabular (MS EXCEL) information; MS WINDOWS operating system services, in particular for defragmenting, formatting and checking hard drives.
3. Apply С programming skills and use MATLAB application software package to tabulate single/multiple variable functions, build 2/3-dimensional graphs, work with branching algorithms and cycles.
4. Apply the skills of the mutual converting of numbers in different systems of calculation; use of skills in the programmer calculator MS WINDOWS.
5. Apply the abilities of using Internet resources (search engines - Google.com, electronic databases - nbuv.gov.ua, educational websites - lp.edu.ua) with self-preparation for training sessions, acquaintance with the latest computer technologies and means and programming languages, in preparation for the exam.
6. Be able to use a variety of specialized software for gathering technical information about PCs (CPU-Z), working with various sources of text information (WinDjView) and working with files/directories (Total Commander).
