- knowledge of methods for finding of linear dynamic models by experimental transitional and impulse response of control objects;
- knowledge of methods for calculating of automatic regulators;
- ability to create mathematical models of control systems and to analyze quality of control systems;
- the ability to choose reasonable structure and scheme of control systems, to carry out parametric optimization of controllers using application software for calculating, simulation and investigation of control systems.

Summary of the subject:
Finding a mathematical model of the specific technological object by experimental transient or impulse response; selection the scheme of automatic control system for a given object control and controlled variable; parameters optimization of control system; simulation of calculated control system using application software, investigation of influence of object control properties and tuning parameters of controller on performance measures of transient response.
