Learning outcomes:
- knowledge of the basic principles of design nonlinear and digital control systems;
- knowledge of mathematical tools of the theory of discrete control systems;
- ability to analyze stability of nonlinear and digital control systems;
- ability to synthesize nonlinear and digital control system with desired quality using application software for their calculation, simulation and investigation.

Summary of the subject:
Typical significantly nonlinear elements, their characteristics. Finding of nonlinear equations of automatic control systems. Iinvestigation of auto-oscillatory mode by harmonic balance method and Popov method. Absolute stability investigation of nonlinear systems. Sliding modes in nonlinear control system. Variable structure control system. Adaptive control system. Principles of digital control systems. Implementation of digital controllers. Mathematical models of discrete control systems. Stability analysis of discrete systems in the z-plane. The performance of discrete control systems. Design of digital control systems.
