• be able to design bearing metal and reinforced concrete constructions of multi-storey building of joining system with an incomplete skeleton under the following initial data: the purpose of the building and the construction site, the size of the building in the scheme, the number and height of the floors; be able to design supporting wooden constructions of inclining roofs;
• be able to draw metal, wooden and reinforced concrete constructions calculated according to ESKD regulations;
• be able to select some extra data for calculations under the existing DBN.

Choose rational schemes and make a sketch plan of metal and monolithic ribbed ceiling as well as a cross-section of the building with the bearing external and internal brick walls and metal monolithic reinforced concrete frame; calculate a flooring metal beam, a main beam and a pillar of the ground floor with the use of rolled sections and the leaning unit of the main beam onto the bearing table of the pillar; calculate the concrete slab in the monolithic ribbed ceiling, calculate one of the supporting wooden constructions of the inclining roof, on two A2 sheets of paper draw a plan of metal ceiling, cross-section of the building in a metal carcass, the design of a metal main beam and a pillar of the ground floor, the leaning units of the main beam onto the bearing table of the pillar as well as the pillar onto the monolithic foundation, shuttering drawing of a monolithic reinforced concrete ceiling with the reinforcement schemes (the layout of reinforcing nets) of monolithic reinforced slabs, cross sections, work drawings reinforcing products - nets, carcasses, cross-section of the building in reinforced concrete embodiment, specification of the monolithic reinforced concrete plate placement inside monolithic reinforced ribbed ceiling, the basic units for monolithic reinforced concrete slab, the cross-section of the roof with certain supporting wooden constructions.

- know the basic principles of calculations of building constructions and building foundations as well as the main characteristics of materials which are used to produce the wooden, reinforced concrete and metal constructions and the peculiarities of their work at various conditions of strain;
- know the classification of building constructions and their role in creating different frameworks as structural building foundations;
- be able to calculate and construct the major types of joints of metal, reinforced concrete and wooden constructions;
- be able to calculate the elements of wooden, metal and reinforced concrete constructions by using the method of limiting states under various power factors such as crosscutting and axial forces, bending moments and their combinations;
- know the basic theoretical questions in calculation of wooden, metal and reinforced concrete constructions, to be able to make recommendations on the design and construction of specific elements of buildings.

Structural elements of buildings and constructions and basic principles of their calculation, the basic principles of calculation of building constructions and ground bases underneath buildings and constructions, loading and impacts, the basic principles of calculation of building constructions in two groups of limiting states, general information about metal constructions and materials for them, calculation of various elements in terms of different force influences, the elements which are loaded with axial force, bending elements, noncentral stretched, noncentral compressed and compressed-bent elements, joints in metal constructions, bolt and welding joints, general information about reinforced concrete constructions and their elements, materials for reinforced concrete constructions: concrete and its physical and mechanical properties, types of reinforcement for concrete constructions, reinforcing steels brands: soft and hard steel, firmness and deformation properties of reinforcing steels: charts of stretching, modulus of elasticity, reinforced concrete and its properties, the basic theoretical questions in calculation of reinforced concrete constructions, calculation of normal cuttings of bending reinforced elements of rectangular and tee profiles with a single reinforcement, calculation of inclined cuttings of reinforced concrete bending elements in the area of the transverse forces, compressed elements. General information about lignite, its structure, its physical properties, assortment of wooden materials, its mechanical properties, rotting, burning, insect destruction, the main principles of calculation of wooden constructions (central-stretched elements, central-compressed elements, cross bend, compressed-bent elements).
