Learning outcomes:
- know the history of the development of garden, park and landscape arts, also theoretical and methodological approaches and concepts in landscape design;
- wield professional terminology, categories and concepts;
- the search for new forms in landscape design, design of gardens and parks, the principles of landscape composition of gardens and parks, characteristic features of different types of gardens;
- be able to apply the acquired knowledge when solving a complex design task, scientifically substantiate the most optimal way of solution.

- History of design;
- History of art and architecture,
- Types of buildings and architectural constructions;
- Projecting.
Summary of the subject:
Brief description of the development of garden, park and landscape arts, historical gardens and parks; typology of objects in landscape design; garden, park and landscape composition; elements of park landscape; structure of park space; forms of plantations and the principles of their composition; decorative qualities of trees, shrubs and perennial plants; longevity of trees and shrubs; flowering of trees and shrubs.
