By the end of the study, learners are expected to be able to:
• know methods and means of measurements of the acoustic field and the measuring volume
• know the methods of measurements of acoustic characteristics of materials
• know the principles of calibration of electroacoustic transducers
• be able to apply the principles of spectral, correlation and statistical analysis of acoustic signals

– Prerequisites: Fundamentals of Metrology and measuring equipment part 1 and part 2
– Corequisites: Unifying mechatronics converting devices

General issues of acoustic measurements. Providing conditions for acoustic measurements. Calibration of measuring transducers. Measurement of characteristics and parameters of acoustic emitters and receivers. Analysis of the measured signals. Measurement of acoustic characteristics of materials and settings of acoustic devices
