Learning outcomes:
• Following the completion of the course, students should know: concepts, characteristics and classification of human rights; the concept of protection of human rights; Definition and classification of international human rights standards; universal and regional systems of human rights protection;
• Students should know how to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights and the conditions of the application to this Court; procedure for cases consideration in the European Court of Human Rights;
• Following the completion of the course, students should be able to: work with national laws and international instruments on human rights, and interpret them according to specific situations;
• Students should be able to make an application to the European Court of Human Rights; identify the legal position set out in the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.
• Students should know how to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights and the conditions of the application to this Court; procedure for cases consideration in the European Court of Human Rights;

• Forms and means of international human rights protection by institutions of the United Nations;
• Forms and means of international human rights protection in Europe;
• The current procedure for the establishment, composition and structure of the European Court of Human Rights;
• The procedure for application to the European Court of Human Rights and the conditions of the application;
• Consideration of the case in the European Court of Human Rights and the implementation of decisions of the Court;
• Features of the protection of individual human rights by the European Court of Human Rights.
