Learning outcomes:
By the end of the study learners are expected:
to know object and subject of country studies as a scientific discipline; methodology of modern country studies; content of major trends in country studies; main groups of factors determining mechanics of functioning economic, political and legal country’s system; general foundations of regionalization of the world;
to be able to give characteristic to major methodological principals of scientific country studies; have good command of professional terminology to analyze various fields of social life of a country; to give characteristic of different aspects of the country’s geographical position; to define cause-and-effect relations in determinants, means and tools and consequences of the country’s policy; to estimate natural resources of the country, its political and legal system, its value in the system of international relations, its social, economic, legal and cultural development.
