- be able to plan, organize, conduct experimental researches and to determine the basic physical quantities that describe the elements of the process;
- be able to use the theory of similarity for physical modeling of heat and mass transfer processes;
- to know the basic criterias of heat and mass transfer and their physical similarities content and general form of criteria equations of these processes;

Summary of the subject:
Basic equipment and processes of chemical technology, there flow diagrams. Methods of experimental research. Statistical analysis of experimental data. Approximation of experimental dependencies. Modeling methods of chemical-engineering processes: physical, mathematical, computer. Differential equations for describing the processes of chemical technology. Application of similarity theory for the physical modeling of chemical-technological processes. The similarity of hydrodynamic, heat and mass transfer processes, the general form of criteria equations. Stages of the modeling. Mathematical models for fluid flow, heat conduction and convective heat transfer. The intensification of heat and mass transfer processes. Correction of models.
