Learning outcomes:
• to know the basic commodity types of sulfur; properties and methods of their receipt;
• to know the basic special types of sulfur; properties and methods of their receipt;
• to know the basic raw material for the receipt of sulfuric acid;
• be able critically to estimate existent technologies of receipt of sulfuric acid from this raw material and apparatus registration of these processes, see the ways of their improvement and intensification.

The chemical technology of basic salts and mineral fertilizers.

• The theoretical basis is of technologies of inorganic substances.
Summary of the subject:
Commodity types of sulfur and sulfuric acid. Special sorts are of sulfate acid, the feature of their production. Special types are of sulfur, the tendencies of their application. The production is of polymeric sulfur. Comparative analysis is of existent methods of production, stabilizing and separation of rhombic sulfur. The production is of crystalline sulfur. The production is of granulated sulfur grades. The production is of sulfur of high purity. Medical sulfur. Sulfur is for a semiconductor technique.
