Learning outcomes:
• to know the state and prospects of production of raw materials minerals;
• to know the theoretical foundations and principles of the compiling technological scheme of mineral salts, selection of process technological mode, apparatus and equipment;
• be able to perform the necessary calculations for processes of mineral fertilizers;
• be able to choose and calculate equipment for processes.
Required prior and related subjects:
• General chemical technology;
• Processes and equipment of chemical production;
• Equipment of branch and basics planning.
Summary of the subject:
Meaning of mineral fertilizers (MF), their characteristics. Raw materials for MF. Production of MF in Ukraine and the world. The basic processes and apparatus technologies MF. Phosphate fertilizers, production of double superphosphate. Nitrogen fertilizer, production of ammonium nitrate, liquid nitrogen fertilizers. Potash fertilizer production of KCl. Microfertilizers. Integrated MD. Liquid compound fertilizers.
