Learning outcomes:
After completing a course, a specialist must know:
• The main provisions of the legislation on work and occupational safety;
• industrial sanitation requirements to create safe working conditions
• The rationale for the choice of safe modes, parameters and process
• measures to address the causes of accidents and occupational diseases in industries
• The necessary measures prevent injuries from the electric current
A specialist must be able to:
• define its remit in the field of professional activities to meet the requirements of occupational health and civil protection tasks
• assess and monitor compliance with the conditions established standards
• To conduct training on health and safety in the workplace for protection from dangerous and harmful production factors and Fire
• take precautions and develop technical solutions to prevent hazards
• select and apply methods of forecasting and assessment of the situation in the area of emergencies
• The ability to make decisions on safety and protection within their powers

Physics: Acoustics. Mechanics. Thermal Hydraulics phenomenon. Electricity. Lighting value.
Chemistry: Physical and chemical properties of elements and their compounds. The heat of reaction. The rate of a chemical reaction
Mathematics: Calculus. The theory of probability. Logic.
Electrical: Single-phase and three-phase circuits. Electrical measurements. Power and power systems business

Summary of the subject:
Academic discipline "Professional and Civil Safety" combines system the knowledge and skills of work safety and civil protection for the design, operation processes of chemical and food technology and engineering, including: legal and organizational support of work safety and civil protection, occupational health and industrial sanitation and explosion protection, electrical safety, fire prevention measures enterprises field, radiation safety basics, forecasting negative consequences on chemically hazardous objects and measures of population and environment. The course is designed to equip future professionals the knowledge, skills and abilities on the system, the state and problems of safety in the chemical industry and the protection of chemically dangerous objects during their operation in emergency situations of natural and man-made in accordance with applicable laws and other by regulations. Academic discipline involves the study of the safety and protection for chemically dangerous objects to the particularities of the professional activity of future specialists. Statement of disciplines including hygiene and safety in the chemical industry, as well as measures of prevention and emergency response during the design and construction of chemical and hazardous objects
