• to know the current level, trends and prospects of development of science and technology on the topic of master's thesis;
• be able to articulate the purpose of research and challenges that need to be addressed to achieve it;
• to know the source of searching information and be able to handle the literature data for setting the direction of research;
• be able to mount a pilot plant for research;
• possess methods of formulation of experimental studies;
• to know processing methods of research results;
The results obtained during the internship, become the basis for writing the Master's Work.

Summary of the subject:
Table of contents of the educational module: Individual work on student performance practice coincides with the theme of the master's qualification work and should provide technological solutions of a problem by experimental (sometimes theoretical) research. The practice includes the following sections: 1. Purpose of research tasks. 2. Information retrieval and processing materials for setting the direction of research. 3. Installation of pilot plants for research. 4. Experimental studies. 5. Processing of research results.

He should provide for the solution of a particular technological problem by experimental or theoretical research. Practice includes: searching for information and processing data literature for the direction of research; experimental research; processing of research results; report on the study results

Summary of the subject:
The main technical and economic indicators of the installation, the study of innovative proposals, the degree of their originality, familiarity with the economic effect of the introduction into production. Student studies the necessity and possibility of reconstructing individual units, units and installations in general in order to increase their productivity, reduce operating costs, and reduce the cost of production.

In case of passing the practice at non-manufacturing enterprises:
• Know the existing research areas and methods for solving scientific and technological issues, modern methods of experimental studies, regulatory documentation implementing the research activities;
• be able to collect and analyze information about the test process, use a special scientific and technical literature, make a pilot study on the chosen method, summarize and organize findings, to report on practices
