Learning outcomes:
- to know the trends of technical means to measure process parameters TPS; methods for measuring process parameters TPS; principles of construction devices for measuring process parameters TPS; basic types of standard transformers primary and secondary devices for measuring process parameters TPS;

- be able to choose the method of measuring the specific process parameters, device that implements this method and limits of measuring instrument and its other metrological characteristics; calculate parameters for devices recalibration a new measuring range; develop innovative primary transducers for measuring technological parameters of thermal power plants; diagnose suitability and reliability of metrological devices and automatic control of TPS.

Summary of the subject:
Characteristics of the process of electricity production in thermal power plants in terms of the use of special instrumentation and systems. The system features automatic control of process parameters TPS. Special techniques and instruments for measuring temperature. The method of temperature measurement in the process TPS contact and contactless methods, measurement error, methods of incorporation and reduction; setting rules thermal converters during measurement. Methods of control processes of combustion in the fuel steam power station. Methods and devices availability torch flame torch. Measurement of thermal quantities. Calorimeters for solid, liquid and gaseous substances. Heat meter and heat meters. Special techniques and instruments for measuring the number and cost of liquids, gases and steam. Special techniques and instruments for measuring quantities and costs of bulk materials. Gyroscopic consumption of coal dust, conveyor scales. Measuring the water level in the steam drum, deaerator, condenser units and other power station. Special techniques and instruments for measuring levels of coal dust in bunkers tract fuel supply TPS.
