Learning outcomes:
To Know:
• basic methodological and psychological principles of interpretation from the source language into the target and vice versa;
• equivalents for German and Ukrainian realia;
• stylistic, lexical-semantic and grammatical features of multi- genre texts in Ukrainian and German.
To Be able:
• to use the main methods and techniques of interpretation;
• to switch quickly between languages;
• to interpret different texts in both languages without experiencing the lack of language means;
• to make competent translation and to work in a competitive environment.

Summary of the subject:
Speech Techniques. Pronunciation training, rhetoric, shadowing. Memorizing and switching. Syntactic deployment. Speech compression. Active vocabulary. Text genres and interpretation.
