- ability to make mathematical models and apply them to research of energy-saving technological objects and processes, automation tools and control systems;
- the ability to apply optimization techniques for the development of control systems of energy-saving technological objects and processes.

Research problem statement, characterization of energy-saving technological object in terms of construction of automated control system, analysis of energy-saving technological object as control object, structural and parametric identification of energy-saving technological object, comparative analysis of existing automation schemes of investigated object, development of control system structure and selection of optimal criteria for achievement specified quality indicators of control system of energy-saving technological object; synthesis of optimal control system, software development and technical support of control system, modeling and research of control system and its elements, conclusions.
