The program of the discipline "Technology of drinking water preparation" considers the current state of drinking water technology and problems of improving its quality. Considered the world's water resources, including water resources of Ukraine. This is a brief historical background on the development of water use systems. The requirements for drinking water quality are given. The theoretical bases of modern technology of water preparation and methods of its purification for drinking supply are revealed. A separate part of the discipline is devoted to coagulants and flocculants, sorbents, decontamination agents and water preparation processes. Particular attention is paid to water pumping issues. Also, a separate part of the discipline is devoted to industrial technologies in urban water intake of domestic and foreign countries. The main emphasis in the studied discipline is given to the experimental research of the process of preparing drinking water.
