Subject and the theoretical base of the course. The monitoring system, the main stages of work during carrying out the biomonitoring. Biotesting. The main approaches to the use of morphology and genetics of organisms in biomonitoring. Biomonitoring of air pollution using plants. Plants-indicators and plants-monitors. Methods for determining the quality of water and soil by living organisms. Types of biological diversity of organisms, ecological groups of organisms in relation to various environmental factors, basic methods of their assessment.
