As a result of studying the module the student should:
- know the factors that determine and affect the probability of technological cracks formation during welding of structural materials;

Summary of the subject:
Materials weldability; cold cracks in welded joints of steels and evaluation of their formation predisposition; reheating cracks; hot cracks and evaluation of their formation resistance; brittle fracture and methods of assessing its predisposition.
