As a result of studying the module the student should:
- to know bases of the theory of compounds formation in pressure welding, design of welding equipment and technologies of welding various metals and alloys
- be able to apply this knowledge in the design of technological processes of manufacture of welded structures, setting up and operation of welding machines

The theory of the formation of compounds. Thermal and electric processes in various welding methods. Calculation of welding modes. Design and calculation of transformer and secondary circuit of the welding machines. Technology of pressure welding of metals and alloys. Mechanization and automation of welding processes
