- know the basics methods of applying the coatings, which are used to restore worn and extending the life of new parts
- be able to select methods for application of coating on parts, depending on operating conditions.

Summary of the subject:
Development of technology for coating detalan: Classification of methods of coating. The thermal coating: General characteristics of the processes; basic principles of choosing the method of spraying material and coating thickness. Electric arc, plasma and detonation coatings. Vacuum-condensation coating. Coating thermal evaporation and ion sputtering of the material. Technological equipment for coating.
