Characteristics of the educational program:
The goal of the program is to expand theoretical and practical skills and qualifications in the field of Human Sciences by speciality of Philology, to develop philosophical and language competencies, to form universal researcher skills sufficient for conduction and successful completion of scientific research and further scientific-professional activity. Scientific and educational program is based upon fundamental philological principles and results of contemporary scientific research. It is aimed at development of theoretical-methodological and methodological-applied foundation of philology, especially at analysis of natural language data and conceptual structure for the needs of development of new computer information system that extends professional scientific outlook and provides basis for conducting scientific research and further scientific-professional practice. Scientific and educational program encompasses a broad range of contemporary innovation vectors of the development of philology that forms actualized theoretical-applied basis for scientific research.
Gained competence:
1. In-depth knowledge of conceptual, methodological, and methodical essentials of fundamental and applied linguistics as well as its conceptual-categorical apparatus.
2. In-depth knowledge of national and foreign research and practice in the linguistic field.
3. In-depth knowledge of theoretical-applied essentials in specialized linguistic subjects.
4. Knowledge of contemporary linguistic science concepts and discourse cognitive modeling principles.
5. In-depth knowledge of contemporary scientific research methods in linguistics in the framework of the communicative and cognitive linguistic approaches.
6. In-depth knowledge of contemporary methods for development of linguistic support in different automated systems.
7. In-depth knowledge of the communicative act modeling principles, considering the cultural characteristics of a specific community language.
8. Knowledge and comprehension of philosophical methodology of scientific knowledge, psychological and pedagogical components of professional scientific activity, own scientific viewpoint, moral and cultural values.
9. The English language proficiency is necessary for the oral and written presentation of the scientific research findings, conducting a professional scientific dialogue, a complete understanding of English scientific texts.
10. Ability to apply contemporary information and communication tools and technologies to ensure effective science and professional communications.
1. Application of professional and specialized knowledge of the basic contemporary linguistic notions and concepts to introduce and substantiate new theoretical principles and practical recommendations within a specific research area.
2. Application of contemporary methodology and tools of scientific research, development of modern technologies and techniques oriented towards natural language information processing during theoretical and empirical research.
3. Integration and application of the knowledge gained from various specialized linguistic disciplines in the process of solving theoretical and applied issues in a specific research area.
4. Selection and application of relevant mathematical tools for linguistic phenomena research.
5. Ability to develop and implement linguistic support for electronic information systems, electronic linguistic resources for different purposes, and language information processing systems.
6. Conduction of scientific research and implementation of research projects, based on the identification of the applied linguistics current issues, establishing goals and objectives, formation and critical analysis of database.
7. Ability to hold a scientific conversation and discussion in Ukrainian and English professional level-based languages, present findings of scientific research in oral and written forms, organize and conduct training sessions.
