• know the main trends, concepts and theoretical principles of sociology of youth;
• know the characteristics of youth as a social group and main directions of youth policy in Ukraine, to be able to analyze the features of youth self-education and various types of deviant behavior, know the characteristics of youth subcultures;
• apply the theoretical knowledge acquired during the study subjects for the analysis of empirical data and an explanation of the changes occurring in youth.
