Learning outcomes:
• Skills to use knowledge in practical situations;
• Skills to work independently and in a team;
• Appropriate understanding of and respect to cultural variety and diversity;
• Ability to produce written speech of different types and genres within suggested areas and themes as well as based on the heard, seen, read and personal experience; to apply appropriately language means while expressing one’s attitude and justifying one’s opinion on the conversation subject;
• Ability to analyze English on all levels;
• Ability to perform comparative analysis of the English and Ukrainian languages in order to appropriately render extra lingual realia;
• Ability to easily deal with complicated sociocultural circumstances, preparedness to operate innovative and communication processes of broad concept;
• Ability to perform written translation and interpretation tasks using style registers and means of their rendering into the target language.

Life achievements and ambition, career success. Use of gerund and infinitive. Expressing emotions and feelings. Giving and responding to news. Use of dependent prepositions. Escape artists. Pastimes and hobbies. Travel, entertainment, leisure activities. Use of the present, state verbs. Books and reading, types of books. Continuous forms, perfect forms. Making and responding to suggestions, interrupting. Question tags.

• Continuous assessment (40 marks): oral and written checking of the classroom and private study curriculum during the, submitting course writing papers, presentations and reports;
• Control action, exam (60 marks): written semester test (50 marks), oral answer (10 marks)
