Learning outcomes:
As the studies results, student has:
know basic optimization methods and models used in the analysis of transport systems in logistics; freely navigate in applied mathematical developments relating to their area;
to be able to: use in their activities related optimization methods and models; to assess the adequacy of built optimization models; set limits on their use, interpret conclusions in terms of their own specialty; apply methods for analyzing and optimizing the transport system in logistics.

Summary of the subject:
Optimization models and methods of transport logistics: classification, modeling methodology. Principles of optimization models and their possible use for solving transport logistics. optimization of transport products Plan (classical transport problem). Optimization plan supplies products to consumers considering prices for products from different suppliers (production and transport problem). Optimizing distribution plan orders for transportation between carriers (assignment problem). Optimization of schedule production, storage and product supply optimization plan for transportation of products in the presence of intermediate points between suppliers and consumers (staged traffic problem). Auxiliary optimization problems on the transport network optimal selection of location distribution center.
