the ability to demonstrate knowledge of the functioning and structure of different operating systems;

the ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of interaction between processes and memory allocation;
the ability to demonstrate knowledge of IO subsystem in modern operating systems;
the ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of development file systems, security and data protection;
the ability to use the methods of interaction between processes;
the ability to manage memory allocation, use virtual address space;
the ability to effectively use the IO subsystem and file system.

co-requisite – Distributed and parallel computing technologies

The structure of the operating system, processes and interactions between the processes, planning processes, hardware and software IO, the basic mechanisms of memory management, paging, virtual memory, segmentation, physical and logical organization of the file system.
