Characteristics of the educational program:
Educational and vocational program is based on the provisions and results of modern scientific researches in museology and history of monuments within which it is possible to develop further professional and academic career. Special education and professional training in branch of preservation, study and promotion of historical and cultural heritage and museums. Special attention during the study is paid to learning of foreign languages (I-III years of study) - English and Polish. Educational and professional program is oriented on actual selective blocks of training, within which it is possible to develop further professional and academic career: • Block 1. History of science and technology; research work in museum; public policy and legal regulation in the field; history of Ukrainian museology; cultorology; local history; book science and history of books; fundamentals of marketing in the field. • Block 2. The research activities in the field; scientific and technological progress as a phenomenon of culture; history of heritage of Ukraine; the international legislation in the field; cultural anthropology; local history, urban studies, advertising and information activities in the field.
Gained competence:
1) the ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the scientific principles of modernization processes in the professional field
2) the ability to demonstrate knowledge and practical skills in professional-oriented disciplines;
3) the ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the history, theory and practice of museology and history of monuments;
4) the ability to demonstrate knowledge of law (national and international) in connection with museum and monument heritage activities;
5) the ability to demonstrate knowledge of the theory and practice of museology and history of monuments;
6) the ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the historical and cultural processes within national and European context;
7) the ability to demonstrate knowledge of modern museology and history of monuments state and their problems;
8) the ability to demonstrate an understanding the impact of socio-cultural and political factors on the development of professional field;
9) the ability to demonstrate knowledge of management and marketing in the professional field;
10) knowledge of the history of the foundation and formation of the collections in the leading museums of Ukraine and the world;
11) knowledge of defining conceptual foundations stages of museology and history of monuments.
1.The ability to use the basics of marketing to achieve the objectives of monuments heritage and museum institutions by creating demand and maximizing customers’ satisfaction.
2. The ability to determine the characteristics and patterns of cultural and historical process.
3. The ability to organize work on learning of ancient books in the museum.
4. The ability to define phenomena of the history of science and professional activity.
5. The ability to provide a scientific assessment of the exhibits.
6. Knowledge of ethics and commitments in the field of museology and history of monuments approved in national legislation and compliance with these obligations in terms of professional activities.
7. The ability to collect, accumulate and present the information about an area from different angles.
8. The ability to use the basics of advertising and information activities to improve or promote heritage and museum institutions on the travel services market.
9. The ability to comprehensively examine the culture in all its forms and at different stages.
10. The ability to describe the origins of cities, their chronological, spatial and ethnic specificity, to review the city as a social organism.
11. The ability to identify forward movement of science and technology through extensive knowledge and development of the external forces of nature
12. The ability to conduct original research of museum exhibits.
13. Knowledge of ethics and commitments in the field of museology and history of monuments approved in international law and compliance with these obligations in terms of professional activities.

Occupational profiles of graduates: The objects of bachelor in educational and professional field of "Museology and history of monuments" is providing of professional excursions, collecting cultural values, work with exposition and research activity. The young professionals have knowledge of wide range of information technologies; know the basics of marketing and management in the field of cultural policy, as well as two foreign languages. The level of professional training allows to work as: ? a guide and tour expert; ? a public service specialist in the field of culture; ? a manager of social and cultural activities; ? a designer of museum exhibits; ? an organizer of galleries and exhibitions; ? researcher and expert in historical and cultural monuments; ? specialist of cultural values preservation; ? specialist of museology and historian; ? museum caretaker
