Learning outcomes:
• understand the historical logic of becoming Ukrainian museums as social and cultural institutions;
• form a conceptual view of history museums in the system of Ukrainian cultural and educational institutions;
• understand the core values and achievements of many years of history museums in Ukraine.
• use knowledge of history museums in Ukraine to study specific subjects and museum collections;
• use knowledge forms the museum and educational activities in the past to improve the organization of museum and excursion activities;
• apply historical experience of Ukrainian museums in the work of museum collections and exhibitions;
• use knowledge of the history of collecting and museums in Ukraine to promote Ukrainian heritage museology.

Prerequisites (necessary preliminary and related disciplines), "History of Ukraine", "History museums in the world", "Archaeology of Ukraine."
Summary of the subject:
familiarize students with the specific accumulation of art and antiquities in Ukraine and the first collections of art and antiquities attractions in Ukraine, the emergence of museums and the first professional museums, clarifying the characteristics of the collections of major museums in Ukraine, as well as major trends Networking Ukrainian museums and museum-term construction. Figuring stages of Ukrainian museology as a sphere of knowledge required in professional activities.

Assessment methods and criteria:
rating assessment on a 100-point system: current tests - 40 points (quiz, presentation, oral and written answers), final test - 60 points (exam).
