Learning outcomes:
learning and knowledge discovery about development history and modern condition of museums, method of forming museum collection, construction of museum expositions, exhibitions, various types and forms of scientific and educational activities of museums; the main areas of cultural and educational work of museums – museum excursion, other basic forms of the work, cooperation between school and museum, museum audience research; mastering professional terminology.
Required prior and related subjects:
The school course on the history of Ukraine.
Summary of the subject:
the study of the development history of museums and museology, the foundations of the theory of museology and the main activities of museums; and the main activities of museums; description of the object and the subject of museology; disclosure connection with other sciences; education interest to the subject, understanding the importance of its study. Mastering of the essence and main areas of museum work by students, the ability to apply their knowledge in practice.
