Learning outcomes:
The student should know the basic changes in lifestyle and worldview of the peoples of Central and Eastern Europe, the factors that contributed to the formation of states and borders of the region, the causes and nature of the most significant international conflicts and periods of major historical figures and organizations in this space.
Prepared specialist should be able to: practice the acquired theoretical knowledge, classify and analyze historical sources; periodization and navigate the cultural and historical development of people and countries of Central and Eastern Europe; work with specialized scientific literature; summarize received information in the study; identify, organize, analyze and summarize historical information in the cultural and educational activities.

basic knowledge of European history and the history of Ukraine
Summary of the subject:
Getting to know students from Central and Eastern Europe as a separate historical regions, sources and origin of ancient Slavs, the peoples of Central and Eastern Europe in the Middle Ages, the emergence, flowering and decline of the Commonwealth. The study features of social political and cultural development of Central and Eastern Europe and the Southern Slavs in the day to day New Age (XVII-XVIII c.), Muscovy, Russian Empire, the USSR. Learning of the people of Central and Eastern Europe under foreign domination in the late XVIII - the first half. Nineteenth century. National liberation movements of peoples in the second half. XIX - early. Twentieth century. Central and Eastern Europe during the First and Second World Wars. Central and Eastern Europe between totalitarianism and democracy (1940 - beg. 1990) and modern development of Central and Eastern European region.

Assessment methods and criteria:
Semester evaluation of student learning is carried out according to the total number of points (100)
- Current control (40%), oral examination, answers to seminars, writing essays.
- Final evaluation (60%) in the form of exam.
