Learning outcomes:
• know the basic laws, concepts and definitions on labor protection (LP), organization of work of LP, the basics of physiology, occupational health and industrial hygiene, safety and fire prevention;
• be able to use the normative literature on LP, calculate lighting, ventilation of industrial premises.
• possess a complex of general cultural and professional competence in labour protection issues in the relevant areas of training for the professional challenges associated with the preservation of life and health of the personnel in the conditions of the labor process and in the conditions of dangerous and emergency situations.
Required prior and related subjects:
• physics,
• electrical end electrician,
• thermodynamics end heat technology.
Summary of the subject:
Legal and organizational questions of labor protection, sanitary-and-hygienic requirements to air of working zone, ventilation and heating of industrial premises, industrial noise and vibration, the notion of radioactive substances and radiation, illumination of production areas, influence of electric current on the human body, technical means for safe operation of electrical systems under normal and emergency modes of operation, the оrganization of fire protection in the enterprise. Dangerous and harmful factors associated with fires, lightning protection of buildings, structures, stationary and basic firefighting, the main sources and factors of risk, emergency.

• Current control (50%): written reports on laboratory work, oral examination (20%); written reports of practical classes (20%); graphic-design work (10%).
• Final control (50% test), testing (35%) and decision tasks (10%), oral component (5%).
